Robert Ross Day – Aug 24th

Today in 1814, Maj-Gen Robert Ross and his troops attacked Washington, and burned the White House. Ross is buried at the old burying grounds.

I propose that August 24th be Robert Ross Day in Halifax. Celebrate Robert Ross Day by print and folding your own white house, and burning it in effigy (PDF link) https://www.papertoys.com/images/white-house.pdf
